President Tiefenthaler’s economics course featured in two publications

An upper-level economics course taught by Colorado College President Jill Tiefenthaler during Block 5 caught the attention of two major news outlets. Both Inside Higher Ed and The Denver Post wrote extensive articles about the course and the fact that Tiefenthaler was co-teaching it with her husband, Kevin Rask.

Both Tiefenthaler and Rask are economists, and the course, titled "The Economics of Higher Education," examined many of the issues facing higher education today, including admissions and financial aid, access and affordability, student and faculty quality, and alumni giving and endowments. The two articles also quote several Colorado College students who took the course, including Joey Wolf, a senior economics major from Chicago. Said Wolf in The Denver Post story, "... it's always good to get a little face time with the president."
