Mason's "Ludlow" hits #1 on independent poetry bestseller list

"Ludlow," a verse novel by David Mason, associate professor of English, was the Number One poetry book on Small Press Distribution's bestseller list in June, The New York Times Book Review noted. Mason's book, which tells the dramatic story of immigrants caught in the Ludlow Massacre of 1914 in Colorado, was released in January by Red Hen Press. "Ludlow" was in Small Press Distribution's Top 5 among poetry books in March, May and June. SPD is a non-profit literary arts organization devoted solely to independently published literature.
