Graduation of Philosophy Majors

The Philosophy Department celebrated the Class of 2015 at a post-Baccalaureate party attended by more than 80 students, family and friends, and faculty members. Fifteen senior majors graduated, with many receiving academic honors. Justine Epstein and Erika Versalovic shared the J. Glenn Gray Memorial Award as the most outstanding students in Philosophy. Charlotte Allyn was awarded first place in the Evelyn May Bridges Poetry Award competition and shared the E. K. Gaylord Award for her contributions to Colorado College publications. Justine Epstein and Julia Kelley were elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society. Two majors graduated magna cum laude: Charlotte Allyn and Justine Epstein. Three senior majors graduated cum laude - Kyle Lutz, Will See, and Erika Versalovic - and the following seniors graduated with Distinction in Philosophy: Charlotte Allyn, Justine Epstein, Julia Kelley, Sari Lesem, Kyle Lutz, Sydney Provan, Emma Schiestl, Will See, and Erika Versalovic. Emma Schiestl also received Distinction in Psychology. Among the six graduating Philosophy minors, three were recognized for their academic achievements, with both Tyler Carson and Elliot Mamet graduating magna cum laude and being elected to the Phi Beta Kappa Society, and Jonathan Curry winning the Japanese Language Award.
