Goodman James to be inducted into NMU Hall of Fame

Anne Goodman James, currently in her second year as head coach of the men's and women's swimming and diving teams at Colorado College, will be inducted into the Northern Michigan University Sports Hall of Fame this weekend. While at NMU, where she also doubled as assistant AD for five years (1991-96), Goodman James twice (1988 and 1991) was named NCAA Division II National Coach of the Year and on three occasions (1990, 1991 and 1992) was honored as Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Coach of the Year. She has helped produce 92 All-Americans, 28 national champions and countless NCAA qualifiers at five different schools during her distinguished career. She also is a former president (1993-95) of the College Swimming Coaches Association of America, a recipient of the CSSAA’s prestigious Steadman Award and past member (1987-94) of NCAA Swimming and Diving Committee.
