Forbes Names '09 CC Grad as a Top Energy Innovator

Forbes' newly released "30 Under 30" list features David Amster-Olszewski '09, the founder of SunShare, as one of the nation's leading developers of community solar. Amster-Olszewski is one of 10 innovators included in the energy and resources category.

Two years after graduation, Amster-Olszewski, a Colorado College international political economy major, signed SunShare's formation agreements in Tutt Library because he didn't have an office. (CC went on to become one of SunShare's first customers.)

The Forbes list features individuals who have achieved remarkable accomplishments at a young age, with the editors noting that "this is especially challenging in the capital-intensive energy industry, where 'old' people tend to run the show."

Amster-Olszewski's renewable energy company features solar gardens that "grow" energy for business and residential utilities customers. Amster-Olszewski also is one of CC's most recent Faces of Innovation.
