The Block 4 Faculty Lunch features Professor Claire Garcia.

A professor of English and feminist and gender studies, Garcia will be speaking on her current work on black women writers in Paris during the first part of the 20th century.

She has a strong standing in the community with many honorees including serving as president of the board of the Rocky Mountain Women's Film Festival and on the Colorado Council for Creative Industries. In 2012, Garcia was named a Pikes Peak Woman of Distinction by the Girl Scouts of Colorado.
