David Mason ’78, Colorado College professor of English and Colorado Poet Laureate, has a new poem, “Another Thing,” published in the July/August issue of Poetry magazine. Mason’s poetry explores a wide range of subjects, including family, the outdoors, travel, history, the American West, and, in this case, relationships.

David Mason ’78, Colorado College professor of English and Colorado Poet Laureate, has a new poem, “Another Thing,” published in the July/August issue of Poetry magazine. Mason’s poetry explores a wide range of subjects, including family, the outdoors, travel, history, the American West, and, in this case, relationships.

Mason’s collections of poetry include “The Buried Houses,” winner of the Nicholas Roerich Poetry Prize; “The Country I Remember,” winner of the Alice Fay Di Castagnola Award; “Arrivals”; and the verse novel “Ludlow,” awarded the Colorado Book Award for Poetry and best book of poetry in 2007 by the Contemporary Poetry Review and the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum.
