Artist in residence Patrizia Herminjard’s dance film Madam& Evening: A hundred moments was recently screened in Portugal at the Quinzena de Dança de Almada Contemporary Dance Festival and Boulder Colorado’s Sans Soucci Film Festival.
The project began as a documentation of the performance-based installation Madam and Evening: A Living Installation conceived by Theatre and Dance department majors Dolo McComb and Adam Dickerson as their thesis project in collaboration with the Colorado Springs Fine Arts Center. The genesis for the work lies in the notion that dreams exist as individual experiences, creating an imagined reality of unique aesthetic possibilities. The film features a complex score by Colorado College alumni Adam Stone. Madam& Evening: A hundred moments combines visually compelling moments from the installation with a modern interpretation of the biblical myth of Adam and Eve.
