Recent guest speakers in Philosophy (and related areas)

Clouds over Mountain Lake

Already this semester, there have been three guest lectures either sponsored by the Department of Philosophy or organized in part by Philosophy faculty members.  On Thursday 10/4, James D. Reid of MSU–Denver gave the first Philosophy Colloquium of the academic year, on the topic of Moral Ontology.  His talk followed a guest lecture by Faisal Alam on 9/13, organized by Dennis McEnnerney, on “Hidden Voices: The Lives of LGBTQ Muslims."  Then, on 10/15, a talk by Mark Epstein on Antonio Gramsci was held at CC, co-organized by Alberto Hernandez-Lemus.  The three guest lectures were attended by a total audience of more than 150 students, faculty, staff, and other members of the Colorado Springs community.
