Colorado College Holds 129th Commencement

Colorado College awarded 476 undergraduate degrees and seven master of arts in teaching at its commencement ceremony on Monday, May 23.

Mark Fiore, winner of the 2010 Pulitzer Prize for political cartooning and a 1991 graduate of CC, gave the commencement address, titled "Take CC With You." Fiore, a political science major, is widely regarded as one of the best online journalists at work in the United States. In addition to Fiore, Richard F. Celeste, the 12th president of Colorado College, and Anne Carson, the Canadian poet, philosopher and critic, received honorary degrees.

The senior address, titled "We DO Care," was given by Joel Minor, president of the Class of 2011.
