CC's Print, Broadcast Endeavors Reap Awards

Colorado College recently reaped a host of awards in various print and broadcast categories. Among the honors were two gold "Addy" awards and a Best of Show from the American Advertising Federation's Colorado Springs chapter and two Colorado Broadcaster's Association Awards of Excellence.

Additionally, the Bulletin, CC's alumni magazine, won a silver "Addy" award for magazine design and a bronze award for most improved publication in the eight-state Council for Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) region. CC's awards include:

  • Gold Addy: "Welcome to Colorado College" Admission Viewbook for Publication Design-Book Design
  • Gold Addy: "Colorado College Annual Report 2013-2014" for Collateral Material-Annual Report
  • Silver Addy: April 2014 Bulletin for Publication Design-Magazine Design
  • Best of Show (Addy): Print category for "Welcome to Colorado College" Admission Viewbook
  • Bronze CASE: April 2014 Bulletin for Magazine Publishing Improvement
  • Best Mini-Documentary or Series: "The Beginning of the End of Homelessness," the third episode of "Wish We Were Here," a new program on KRCC that is available as a podcast from iTunes. The award was presented at the Colorado Broadcaster's Association Awards of Excellence.
  • Best News Feature, Report or Series: The Railroad West series, which aired on KRCC, Colorado College's NPR-member station. Coverage continued after KRCC News interns Martha Perez-Sanz '14 and Maggie Spencer '14 opened the series by looking into Amtrak's Southwest Chief as part of their journalism curriculum at Colorado College. The award was presented at the Colorado Broadcaster's Association Awards of Excellence.
