CC Represented in World Ultimate Championships

Colorado College has two players on the U.S. National Women's Team who will be competing at the World Ultimate Championships in London next month.

Lisi Lohre '14 and Chloƫ Rowse '16 were named by USA Ultimate to the U23 U.S. National Women's Team. They will join 22 other women from across the country to represent the U.S. at the tournament, to be held July 12-18. The two head to Chicago for a week of training camp prior to departing for London. Nine countries will compete in the Women's Division, including Australia, Canada, Colombia, Great Britain, Germany, Japan, New Zealand, Sweden, and the U.S. The games will be covered by ESPN.

Lisi Lohre, a biology major from Golden, Colorado, was captain of the CC women's ultimate team, which was nicknamed "Lysistrata's Tools" (or "Strata" for short) during her sophomore, junior, and senior years. Chloƫ Rowse, a double major in education and studio art from Falmouth, Maine, is a current captain. Both were among the top 100 women selected by USA Ultimate to try out for the team.

CC finished 9th in the Division I National Women's Ultimate Championships in Mason, Ohio, in May 2014, after entering the tournament seeded 18th. USA Ultimate is the national governing body for the sport of Ultimate.
