CC Hosts 21st-Century Residential Housing Summit

On Saturday, April 4, Colorado College will host a daylong summit aimed at rethinking the residence halls of the 21st century. The effort, called the 21st Century Project, is a multiyear undertaking of the Association of College and University Housing Officers-International. Colorado College is one of only three schools to be selected to host a 21st-century housing summit.

Participants in Saturday's summit will explore how to create community, add flexibility, and assure sustainability in new residence halls. Among the day's topics are:

  • Clarifying the needs of the student of the future
  • Exploring the campus community experience
  • Defining the residential life experience
  • Specifying some of the physical features of the residential experience

By being selected as a summit site, CC also is a potential host site for a future 21st-century residence hall. For more information about the project, visit:
