Atiya Harvey '18 to Join Urban Teachers

We are excited to announce that Atiya Harvey (Feminist & Gender Studies ‘18) will join the 2018 Washington, DC cohort of Urban Teachers

"Urban Teachers, in collaboration with the Johns Hopkins School of Education, prepares new teachers to succeed through a rigorous clinical training model. This four-year program places aspiring teachers in urban schools for a 14-month residency prior to becoming a lead teacher; offers graduate coursework leading to the award of a Master of Science in Education degree, which is completed in two years and is clinically based, allowing for teachers to practice their skills immediately in the classroom; and provides three years of coaching and mentoring to assist in developing outstanding practice once in the field."
