Anna Wool ’08 Wins First Prize in Alpha Kappa Delta Competition

"Like Water off a Duck: Stigma and the Jewish Assessment of Christian Public Religious Displays in an Alabama City," a paper by Anna Wool '08, won first prize in the Alpha Kappa Delta (AKD) 2009 undergraduate paper competition. Alpha Kappa Delta is an international sociology honor society dedicated to "investigating humanity for the purpose of service." Wool will be presented with a check for $500 at the AKD Distinguished Lecture on August 9 during the American Sociological Association's annual meeting in San Francisco. As the first-place winner, Wool's paper will be considered for publication in the distinguished journal Sociological Inquiry.
