Commencement 2016

Commencement is on Monday, May 16, at 8:30 a.m.

The ceremony is followed by a reception hosted by President Tiefenthaler’s office, ending by 1 p.m. Tickets are not required for Commencement. Open seating, with room for your entire group, is provided.

Colorado College alumna Marcia McNutt ’74, renowned geophysicist and leader in the scientific community, will give this year’s Commencement address. Senior Jack Queen will be the student speaker.

Colorado College honors outstanding students and faculty during its annual academic Honors Convocation. Honors Convocation includes departmental awards, all-college awards, and awards from the CC Student Government Association. All students are welcome to attend.

Graduating students, families, and guests are invited for dessert and dancing to celebrate the Class of 2016. Shuttle service will be provided to the dance from campus continuously (8 p.m.–midnight). Please wear cocktail attire. Cash bar.

Children age 10 and under – Free (must have ticket)
CC Faculty/Staff – Free
Current CC Students - $15/per person ($20/person at the door)
Adults/Guests – $15/person ($20/person at the door)

Note:
Due to limited seating, graduates will receive two guest tickets when they pick up caps    and gowns. Additional guests are invited to watch the ceremony on a live feed in Kathryn Mohrman Theatre or to listen to the ceremony in seating outside Shove Memorial Chapel.

Note: Rain location is the Broadmoor World Arena. A sign language interpreter will be on stage. Complimentary coffee and water will be provided. Restrooms are located in Armstrong Hall and Shove Memorial Chapel.

Note: A CC ID is required to pick up your diploma. After 3 p.m., return gowns to bookstore; pick up diplomas at the Registrar’s Office.
