There will be free pizza.

Some people have criticized the effectiveness of the “aggressive,” “polarizing,” “confrontational” rhetoric a generalized group of people uses on the campus of Colorado College (CC) while advocating feminism. Those critics, who see second-wave feminism in this day as a sort of chauvinism and third-wave feminism as a form of humanism, have urged that the students of CC embrace the third wave, abandoning the second wave. However, some people of the aforementioned group that is generalized as belonging to the second wave argue that the second wave is still relevant in this age and that their rhetoric is only thought-provoking; they also do not consider third-wave feminism a feminist activism that has a direction and effective means. The Philosophy Circle questions, "What ethos must feminist activism at CC have so as to be effective?"
Wonderbound Dance Company: "Memories and Well-Grounded Hopes" Tue, 14 Oct 2014 09:29:56 MDT
Thursday, September 12, 2013 7:30 PM

Wonderbound Dance Company presents two world premieres choreographed by Artistic Director Garrett Ammon. If so, then you are intimately aware of the fact that your brain is able to solve the cocktail party problem. How does your brain separate one signal from a mixture of signals? I have no idea, but I have been working with a half optical, half electronic system that is able to mimic that behavior. The system uses a special holographic crystal in a feedback loop to solve the cocktail party problem without any a priori information about the unmixed signals or how they are mixed together. By analyzing the dynamics of the feedback loop, we have discovered that under cer- tain conditions the feedback loop likes to separate signals. I invite you to come and find out about this truly fas-cinating system and hear some of the audio demosdemonstrating its signal-separating prowess. I willalso briefly discuss my ef-forts to miniaturize useful optical systems like this us-ing light-sensitive polymersso that they can be used in everyday life." - Baylor
CC Men's Soccer Thu, 15 Aug 2013 13:23:33 MDT
Friday, September 13, 2013 2:30 PM

CC Men's Soccer v.
