The actors/singers/dancers will entertain with performances that preview their March 2013 auditions. The cast will talk to the audience after the show, sharing their experiences about learning the craft, performing, and auditioning &mdash; a unique opportunity for college-bound performers.&nbsp; This event is open to the public and organized by the cast to raise funds for their weeklong NYC audition trip. This year's keynote speaker is the Mexican-American writer Victor Villasenor, a <em>New York Times</em> bestselling novelist, Pulitzer Prize nominee, and author of the upcoming HBO series "Rain of Gold." Featured speakers include Troy CLE, author of the <em>Marvelous World</em> fantasy series, in which an African-American teen from New Jersey becomes the hero of an intergalactic adventure; spiritual activist Marianne Williamson, the writer of ten books, four of which reached #1 on the <em>New York Times</em> bestseller lists, and founder of the Peace Alliance, a grassroots campaign tp establish a U.S. Dept. of Peace; and Jerri Marr, the U.S. Forest Service supervisor whose calm, competent and empathetic manner comforted the residents of our region during the Waldo Canyon fire. <br /><br />Registration is open to high school and college students, parents, and professionals from all walks of life including education, juvenile justice, and child welfare, as well as anyone committed to the success of youth. Admission is free for students and parents; $25 for professionals. Everyone must register. <br /><br />$10,000 in scholarship money and&nbsp;18 laptops will be awarded at the summit. You must be present to win. Juniors, seniors, and undergraduates under 21 will be eligible for scholarship money, through drawings and&nbsp;contests. Offendum began his rap career as one-half of the N.O.M.A.D.S., an Arab/African-American hip-hop duo. In 2010, he released his first solo album, "SyrianamericanA."
