He is also the author of several books, and the founder of the It Gets Better Project, which reaches out to LGBTQ teens who are victims of bullying.&nbsp;Participants will get the chance to ask Savage a question, anonymously or not, if they wish, and all questions will be answered. Why have there been few position of power and leadership for Black women in the Obama administration? Why was there an outpouring of protests preceding President Obama&rsquo;s nomination of Elena Kagan to the U.S. Supreme Court? What happened to Desiree Rogers? What happened to Shirley Sherrod? Why was the Obama Administration&rsquo;s support for both women either withheld or ill-informed?<br /><br />Discuss these questions and more with Duchess Harris, Associate Professor &amp; Chair of American Studies at Macalaster College, when she presents "Black Feminist Politics in the Age of Obama."</p>
