COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Oct. 6, 2005 – About 2,000 Colorado College alumni, parents and friends will come “home” to CC this weekend for class reunions, lectures, field trips, awards, community service projects and more at Homecoming & Parents Weekend events today through Sunday, Oct. 9.
Community members are invited to attend the 17 th Annual Tiger Classic 5K race, an art exhibit opening, campus tours and open houses, a carnival, and athletics events including CC hockey, volleyball, soccer and football games.

Thursday, Oct. 6:
4:30-7:30 p.m. – PRESSURE: 35 Years of Printmaking at Colorado College, Gallery Talk and Opening Reception – Coburn Gallery, main level, Worner Campus Center, 902 N. Cascade Ave.
In conjunction with the 35 th Anniversary of the Block Plan, the Coburn Gallery will survey the influence and impact of 35 years of the art department’s printmaking program. The exhibit will feature woodcut, intaglio etching, lithography and alternative-methods fine art prints by CC alumni and professors. Sponsored by the Stillman Fund for Exhibits and the Colorado College art department.

8 a.m. – 17 th Annual Tiger Classic 5K Race – Monument Valley Park
Runners, joggers and walkers of all levels will participate. Features prizes, race T-shirts and refreshments. Registration is at 7 a.m. south of the bridge at Monument Valley Park. Proceeds benefit the Tiger Pride Fund, which supports CC athletics. $20 if register before event at www.ColoradoCollege.edu/5krace; $25 on race day.

Reunited classes place their class stones in the plaza; each stone is inscribed with a slogan that captures the time and flavor of the time these classes were at CC.
10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. – Tiger Walk Parade of Classes – from McHugh Alumni Plaza east across campus to Shove Memorial Chapel, 1010 N. Nevada Ave.
Reunion classes continue the Tiger Walk tradition, parading from the Class Stone ceremony to Shove Memorial Chapel for presentation of the Alumni Association awards.
11 a.m. – Benezet, Worner, Riley Alumni Association Awards – Shove Memorial Chapel, 1010 N. Nevada Ave.
The Louis T. Benezet Award for career achievement will go to James McDowell ’74, Kathryn Green McQueen ’84 and Steven Wong ’77. The Lloyd E. Worner Award for remarkable efforts on behalf of the college will be presented to William “Bill” Hybl ’64. The Gresham Riley Award for outstanding service by faculty, administrators and staff will go to Judith Underhill Reynolds, ’71 ( Boettcher Health Center) and Professor Dennis Showalter (history).

CC’s Glass House celebrates 10 years of multicultural students living and learning together with carnival fun for the whole family. The all-day event features booths, games and fun activities of the field adjacent to the Glass (Lennox) House, 1001 North Nevada Avenue, and the Student Cultural Center, 1008 North Weber Street. Sponsored by CC’s ethnic and minority student groups.
3 p.m. – CC Men’s Soccer vs. University of Colorado at Colorado Springs – Washburn Field
7 p.m. – CC Football vs. Occidental College – Washburn Field

8 p.m. – Ten-Year Glass House Reunion presents “Do Lord Remember Me” – Packard Hall
A readers' theater-style production performed by members of the original 1992 CC cast, this one-act play is adapted from actual interviews conducted with ex-slaves in the 1930s. Part of CC's Homecoming weekend. Sponsored by the Ten-Year Glass House Reunion.
