'27 Geraldine Dewitt Lynn lives in a nursing home near her son, Robert '52, and his family in Houston.

'34 Jack Kurie still owns and publishes the Mecklenburg Times in Charlotte, N.C. He and his wife, Harryet, spend their summers in Clover, S.C., and their winters on Edisto Island, S.C.

'35 Wilbur Larson is retired and living in Grand Junction, Colo., with his wife, Kathleen.

'36 Ann Daniels Love is a newly-appointed board member to the Colorado Endowment for the Humanities. Her volunteer commitments include affiliations with the Council for Public Television, the Colorado Council on the Arts, Historic Denver, Regis University, Denver Civic Ventures and the National Jewish Hospital.

'37 Leonard von Bibra Sutton remains active in the Colorado Springs Mineralogical Society, an organization he helped found in 1936.

'44 Hope Sabin Norman and husband, John, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in Denver with a family reunion that included all five of their children and their families.

'46 Angelyn Konugres Coupounas represented CC at Boston College's presidential inauguration in October.

'47 Save the date! Your 50th Reunion is May 16-18! Return to campus for a weekend of reminiscing, renewing friendships and commemorating graduation. Highlights include a barbecue at the CC cabin, an inspiring induction ceremony at Shove Chapel and a trip to the Baca campus.

'51 Virginia Parker Boucher is emeritus professor of libraries for the University of Colorado at Boulder. The American Library Association published the 2nd edition of Interlibrary Loan Practices Handbook, written by Virginia. * Pat Killen lives in Tokyo with his wife, Miyoko, and their one-year-old daughter, Kimberly. Pat works for the Kikkoman Corp.

'52 Vivian Gross Boyle donated her late husband's extensive collection of musical violin scores to the college. * Albert Schoenfeld is retired and living in El Jebel, Colo.

'53 Walter Stone is a professor of psychiatry at the University of Cincinnati's College of Medicine. He has been elected as distinguished fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association and was named life fellow of the American Psychiatric Association. He has written Psychotherapy for People with Chronic Mental Illness, which he adds is the first such book in the field.

'54 Anne Pinkney is retired and living in Greensboro, Vt.

'55 Van Skilling is chairman and CEO of Experian Information Solutions, Inc., a newly-independent company that has broken away from its Cleveland-based parent company, TRW. Prior to the split, Van was general manager of TRW Information Systems.

'56 Barbara Putnam Coyne took on the newly-created position of education coordinator for Rainbow Acres, a permanent residential community for mentally retarded adults in Camp Verde, Ariz.

'57 Save the Date! Your 40th reunion is Oct. 17-19! * After retiring twice and losing his wife, Robert Ligler went back to work at Ace Hardware, "so my brain wouldn't turn to sawdust." * Lem Scarbrough traveled four nights on The American Queen, the world's largest, most elaborate paddlewheeler. It left from New Orleans with stops in Baton Rouge and Neches.

'58 Susan Urban Horsey is moving to Aspen this spring to be with her children and grandchildren. * David Jenkins retired in March 1996 and now intends to do volunteer work, take college courses, play golf and enjoy the grandchildren. * Robert Jones retired after 30 years as a teacher, coach and principal with the Cheyenne Mountain School District in Colorado Springs. He is enjoying his family and following the coaching career of his son in Arizona. * Nancy Ellis Keith and husband, Arlando, enjoy retirement by playing tennis, skiing, traveling and doing volunteer work. * Cindy Phillips is retired and living in Sedona, Ariz., where she enjoys her new condo and beautiful surroundings. * Sara Clifford Smith bought a 200-year-old Maine farmhouse on 20 acres. '61 Kenneth Hartwell is vice president of marketing and sales for Good Samaritan Supply Services in St. Paul. * Norman Vick is an insurance broker for employee benefits with Innovative Benefits in Denver.

'62 Jerry Northern left his position as professor of otolaryngology and head of audiology services at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center to become vice president of professional services for HEARx, the largest network of audio-vestibular rehabilitative centers in the field of hearing services. * Stewart Ritchie stopped by the Alumni Office in August while doing business in Colorado Springs. He is founder and CEO of Guckenheimer Enterprises, Inc., a food service company based in Redwood City, Calif.

'63 John Ebey is a senior vice president of Merrill Lynch, Inc. He and wife, Susan, live in Santa Monica, Calif. * Robert Graham is a partner with McKay, Byrne and Graham, whose offices are in Los Angeles and Santa Ana, Calif. * Ginny Metcalf Heckel is a data systems administrator in medical research and education for the Kelsey-Seybold Foundation in Houston, Texas. She and Evan Heckel '64 have been married for 32 years and plan to retire to the northeast Georgia mountains. * Erv Hinds is an anesthesiologist practicing medicine in Santa Fe, where he is board-certified in acute chronic cancer pain. Erv and wife, Liz, have three children: Eric, Emily and Ellie. * Karen Clausen Hynds lives in Morris, Ill. * Sara Harrell Igyarto is an account executive with Acordia of Colorado in Colorado Springs. She has a daughter, Katherine, a son, Keith, and a grandson, Philip. * Anne Wilson Jacobson is an administrator with the St. Charles Borromeo Church in Peoria, Ariz. She lives in Glendale. * Diane Johnston retired from IBM in May and now lives in Raleigh, N.C. "I'm doing consulting in international marketing for EHQ, playing golf, traveling and having a ball. I spent most of October in France and Spain, and will visit Jane Alderson Scharer in early November. North Carolina is great, despite hurricane Fran." * Carol Anderson Kimbrough is a special assistant to the associate commissioner for health affairs at the U.S. Food & Drug Administration in Rockville, Md. * John Kuglin, Montana bureau chief for the Associated Press, reported his office was busy last spring covering the Freeman standoff and the arrest of Unabomber suspect Ted Kaczynski. John lives in Helena with his wife, Gale, and their son, Tom, and occasionally makes it to Colorado to climb a 14er. * Arvy Kysely, a retired engineer living in Colorado Springs, spent May and June cruising the Caribbean in a 42-foot sailboat, then spent three months in Wisconsin on a family farm. * Bonjour! from Normand Laurence, a senior consultant with Gestion Nogisca, Inc. in Ste. Therese, Quebec. He teaches at the university, plays golf, and is grandfather to Elisabeth and William. * Bonnie Tanner Martin is owner and freelance graphic designer for The Graphic Underground in Overland Park, Kan. '64 Betsy Alden was selected by a panel of judges to receive the 1996 Governor's Award for Outstanding New Mexico Women for her work as creator and consultant for the PRAXIS Project, a model for service-learning through the classroom that allows students to provide services for their communities as an optional academic requirement of college instruction. * After retiring from the Proctor & Gamble Company in January 1996, Lloyd Fisk traveled through Colorado in a new RV, where he stopped to visit acquaintances and re-celebrate the 1995-96 hockey achievements. * Bill Hybl was elected president of the U.S. Olympic Committee.

'65 Susan Fertig-Dykes lives in Sarajevo, where she is director for Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH) for the Institute of Cultural Affairs. Prior to her move to Sarajevo, Susan founded the ICA in Croatia, where she worked and lived in Zagreb for three years. Bob is vice president/creative director in marketing and Dave is senior vice president in loan legal. * Lee Hunt is a consultant with Euler Solutions in Minneapolis. * Tom and Mary Lou Meadows Malone live on the eastern shore of Maryland, where Tom is director of the Horn Point Environmental Laboratory of the Center for the Environmental and Estuarine Studies of the University of Maryland system. He was appointed president-elect of the American Society of Limnology and Oceanography, an international association for environmental research on lakes, rivers, groundwater, estuaries and oceans.

'66 Joyce Eaton Giedd traveled through Holland, Germany and the Czech Republic last summer with the First United Methodist Church of Colorado Springs' touring choir. Joyce's former CC roommate, Suzanne Benua Vorbrugg '65, hosted the group for lunch at her home in Fussen, Germany, where she teaches piano, recorder and harp. Joyce works for US West in Colorado Springs. * Alice Lamar took early retirement in January 1995 from her job as a computer programmer/analyst for the U.S. Army.

'67 Donna McIntyre is an admissions counselor at The Naropa Institute in Boulder, Colo.

'68 Doug Brown, along with Terry Colyer, Mike Lester, Tom Wakefield and Bill Vieregg '70, cross country-skied/backpacked into the Colorado 10th Mountain Division's McNamara Hut near Aspen last February. Their "Big Chill" mini-reunion was blanketed with nearly three feet of new snow during their descent. * Darcy Swenarton Peet's acrylics and oil pastels were featured in the show, "Cascades, Conifers and Canyons," at the Johnson Heritage Post Art Gallery in Grand Marais, Minn., last Oct. - Nov.

'69 President Clinton named Jane Lubchenco to the National Science Board, an advisory body to the National Science Foundation, which recommends overall national policies for promoting basic research and education in the sciences. * Catherine Meier Taylor lives in Portland, Ore., where she works as a landscape designer. She and husband, Mac, have one son, Sam, 17.

'70 Ken Butler attended the 15th anniversary celebration at the Elizabeth Leach Gallery in New York City, where he performed "The Voices of Anxious Objects" on the hybrid instruments he designs and makes. * John Shackleford is president of Markets Unlimited, Inc. in Phoenix. * Tom Wilcox is headmaster at the Concord Academy, a boarding school in Concord, Mass., which was featured in the article "America's Top Boarding Schools" in the August issue of Town & Country.

'71 Stephen Brooks represented CC at The College of Wooster's presidential inauguration in September. He is a professor of political science at the University of Akron in Ohio. * Cole Carothers' works were featured at the Cincinnati Art Galleries in an exhibition in Oct.-Nov. * Ellen Hickman is a montessori teacher at Parkside Community School in Austin, Texas.

'73 Elizabeth Gill Lui was featured in the Gazette Telegraph's Nov. 10 issue highlighting her photography. She lives in Franktown, Colo. * George Merkert, employed with Sony Image Works, was visual effects executive producer for "The Ghost and the Darkness," a movie starring Val Kilmer and Michael Douglas. * Robert Moon is vice general manager of finance for Scientific-Atlanta of Shanghai, Ltd. in Shanghai, People's Republic of China.

'74 John Kessel is the director of program development for USA Volleyball based in Colorado Springs. * Marcia McNutt, Griswold Professor in Earth, Atmospheric and Planetary Sciences at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was named a Phi Beta Kappa Visiting Scholar for 1996-1997.

'75 Jeannie Corbridge Jamieson visited the campus in November with her daughter, Katie, who will graduate from high school in 1998. Jeannie has been a private tutor since 1980 and would love to hear from anyone from "way back when." * Rich Rubinson expanded his accounting practice in San Diego under the name Rubinson & Associates, CPA. '76 Stephen Childs is director of clubs for Excite, Inc., an Internet navigation company in Mountain View, Calif. * Jennifer Jameson Dutton is a counselor in private practice in Overland Park, Kan. * Gregg Easterbrook was named a Fulbright Foundation 50th Anniversary Distinguished Fellow. She and husband, Douglas Stevenson, have two sons. * After ten years as a radar specialist in the Navy, Kenneth Michel left to join Technology Management Group, a small systems engineering firm in Fredericksburg, Va. '78 Neal Baer, a writer for the TV show "ER," was nominated for an Emmy for an episode he wrote. * Marissa Richker Wertheimer lives in the Bay area with her husband, Kim, and their three children. * Timothy Wilt lives in Minneapolis with his wife, Kristine, and their two daughters. He is an associate professor of medicine at the University of Minnesota and a fellow in the American College of Physicians.

'79 In the November election, Diana DeGette won her race for U.S. House of Representatives for Colorado's First Congressional District, replacing Pat Schroeder who chose not to seek reelection. Diana holds a seat on the House Commerce Committee and was elected as a deputy Democratic whip. * Tom Dill lives in Half Moon Bay, Calif., where he is a writer in the creative services department at Odwalla Juice, a company he helped found in 1980. * Richard Langford works in the department of geosciences at the University of Texas in El Paso.

'80 Richard and Maura Huber '82 Edison live in Boulder, where Richard builds custom furniture while refusing to practice law. Maura works at home as a ceramic artist. * Deirdre McMillen Franklin works for Touch Source in Lafayette, Colo. She and husband, Michael, have two children, Lauren and Quinn. * Paul and Anne Hall Hudnut spent the fall of 1995 traveling with their children in Indonesia, Australia and New Zealand. They live in Fort Collins, Colo., where Paul works for Heslea Corporation. * Jane Haggerty Krader and family are moving from Germany to Istanbul, Turkey, where she and her husband will teach English as a second language. '81 Kari Gerlach Casey represented CC at Ripon College's presidential inauguration in September. * Pamela Hiltunen Clark is director of chapter services at the Make-A-Wish Foundation of America in Phoenix. * Adam Golodner joined the Clinton Administration in 1993 working briefly in the White House before moving to the Department of Agriculture. He is the deputy administrator of the Rural Utilities Service. * Bruce Kirchoff is a partner in the law firm of Alfers & Carver, L.L.C. in Denver. Bruce lives in Highlands Ranch with his wife, Andrea, and their two children, Andrew and Tyler. * Mike Massaro, Marc Deprey '80 and Mark Forsyth stopped by the Alumni Office while touring the campus in November. Mark had flown in from Singapore for a conference in Denver where David Nock '80 joined up with the group. Bob Jennings was the only member of the old gang who was missing. * Michael Reeves and Alexandra Samartin were married Aug. 9 in Los Angeles. * Lisa Rubin teaches 4th grade at Pojoaque Elementary School in Santa Fe. * Tom Shallow is department administrator for the Department of Microbiology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in Denver. * Debbie Borst Swanson is a staff assistant in the College Relations Department at Colorado College. * Richard Zahm and Catherine Wuthrich were married Nov. 1995, in Grindelwald, Switzerland. '82 Dana Gillespie and Mark Engman '83 were married May 5 near Washington, D.C. '83 Paul Blumberg reports that he and Dick Karger '68, David Heckler '80, Mike Lincoln '81 and Ed Carney gather on Saturdays and Sundays during the winter to play hockey. They all live in the Chicago area and invite anyone to join them. * Elizabeth Burns and Ken Wahl were married Oct. 1, 1995. They live in Clancy, Mont., and welcome friends for a visit. * Margery Fernald is an attorney and professor in theatre arts at Porter College in Santa Cruz, Calif. * Judy Kreith is a dance instructor with Northland Dance Studio in Fairbanks, Alaska. * Mary McClatchey and Stephen Masciocchi were married May 28, 1995. Mary is an assistant attorney general in the Office of the Attorney General in Denver. * Jeff Rutenbeck is director of Digital Media Studies and an associate professor with tenure in the School of Communication at the University of Denver. * Michael Walker lives in Virginia Beach, Va., with his wife, Ruthie, and their daughter, Olivia. Allen Memorial Award, presented annually by the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida to the Assistant U.S. Attorney who has made the most significant efforts in support of financial recoveries and affirmative enforcement litigation. Your 10th reunion is Oct. 17-19! * Carolyn Boardman and Braddon Hall were married June 30 in Telluride, Colo. * After a 14-month stay in England appearing in the award-winning play, "Burning Blue," and in the British Miramax film, "True Blue," Robert Bogue, a professional actor, is currently in the off-Broadway revival of "The Boys in the Band." * Rick Boh is the owner of Player's Bench, a hockey equipment store in Littleton, Colo. * Deanna Martin Dern lives in Fort Collins, Colo., where she is a research analyst at Eagle Marketing.
