Ida May Gilland Fox 08, Cheyenne, Wyo. She was Wyomings oldest native and resident, having attended the states first Frontier Days celebration.

Harold Allen '20, Cupertino, Calif. Survivors include his sister, Ruth Allen Caswell '26. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Arthur '14 and Edward '21, and his wife, Dorothy Davis Allen '23.

Mary Hills Wendelken '23, Colorado Springs, July 8. Survivors include her son, Robert '56. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben '22.

Frank Waters '25, Taos, N.M., June 3. He was a novelist and chronicler of the Southwest and its Pueblo country. He received an honorary degree from Colorado College in 1978 and was nominated for a Nobel Prize in Literature in 1985. He was also honored for writing excellence at the Pikes Peak Writers Conference in April, 1993. He is survived by his wife, Barbara.

Florence Pickett Foltz '30, Littleton, Colo., May 1. Survivors include her sister, Georgia Pickett Haupt '33.

Harry Figge '31, Brighton, Colo., April 14. He was retired from the Colorado Game, Fish and Parks Division since 1969. Survivors include his sister, Margaret Burrowes '29, his daughter, M. Carol Figge '62, and granddaughter Sara Wilson '94.

John Damgaard '39, Sun City, Ariz., Nov. 27. He retired as professor of business from the University of Northern Colorado in 1982. Survivors include his wife, Thelma.

Harvey Lewis Carter, professor emeritus, Colorado Springs, Jan. 19. He taught history for 28 years here and served as chair of the history department from 1956-59. He was also active in the American Civil Liberties Union and in national matters concerning academic freedom and freedom of the press. From 1960 to his retirement in 1973, Carter was curator of the Archer Butler Hulbert Memorial Collection of Western Americana at Tutt Library. Survivors include his wife, Ruth.
