'44 Martin Bunker retired as a captain for United Airlines and resides in Greeley, Colo. * Carl Christ, a professor in the economics department at Johns Hopkins University, was surprised last spring when colleagues and former students in the economics department organized a conference and dinner in his honor.

'59 Katy Kephart is the executive director of the New Hampshire Dance Institute, a nonprofit organization in Marlborough, N.H. * Retired from public education in Michigan, Charlene Dreher Mell works part time as music director and organist at Faith United Church of Christ in Tamarac, Fla.

'60 Myrna Johnson Valdez and husband Ramon are retired and living in their solar home in Bridgeport, Calif.

'61 George English retired after 28 years with the federal government. He continues to live in Silver Spring, Md., with plans to move to his home in Woodland Park, Colo., in a few years.

'63 Albert Church and Helen Starr were married June 4 in Alexandria, Va.

'70 Jim Diracles and his two daughters were pictured on the cover of the February 1995 issue of Minnesota Parent. * Robin Lostetter is music director at First Presbyterian Church in Binghamton, N.Y. * William Veneris, president of ALERT Computer System in Colorado Springs, was honored with the American Rental Association's 1995 Special Service Award, which is presented annually to an individual outside the rental industry who has performed an outstanding service for rental businesses.

'71 Christine Brand Doyle is managing director of First Union capital markets group of First Union Bank in Charlotte, N.C.

'72 David Browning, who has been with Citicorp over 20 years, was promoted to executive vice president, where he is responsible for the investment products and distribution business. * Debbie Freepons Craig was selected as a trustee for the Meyer Memorial Trust in Portland, Ore. She resides in Lake Oswego, where she practices as a family law attorney. * Carlos Frum joined DePaul University's College of Commerce as an entrepreneur-in-residence, where he will teach and prepare courses and seminars in DePaul's Kellstadt Graduate School of Business.

'75 Fantu Cheru is an associate professor at The American University in Washington, D.C. * Barbara Crum Fabacher and husband David stopped by the Alumni House in July en route to one of David's scientific meetings in Breckenridge. Pikes Peak and the campus "jogged lots of beautiful memories." * Nancy Reinisch received the Robb Kreklow Humanitarian Service Award for her work in establishing the Advocate Safehouse in Glenwood Spgs., Colo., and her volunteer efforts at the Glenwood Springs Elementary School.

'76 As the keynote speaker on campus in April for Biology Day, John Nulsen spoke on "In Vitro-Fertilization: The Present and the Future." * James Taylor was granted tenure at Pomona College in Claremont, Calif., where he is associate professor of theatre.

'77 Sandra Brown is a clinical social worker in private practice in Portland, Maine. * Mack and Lisa Inez '80 Johnson reside in Silverdale, Wash., where Mack teaches at North Mason High School in Belfair, and Lisa teaches at South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard. * David Kirchheimer is managing director, C.E.O. and administrative officer at Oaktree Capital Management, L.L.C., in Los Angeles.

'78 David Mason received the 1994 Minnesota Professor of the Year from the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. David is on faculty in the English department at Moorhead State University. * Beverly Poltrack and Ronald Wilkerson were married April 2 in Santa Monica, Calif. In attendance was Jeanette Miss. Beverly works in quality control and proofreading at Interim Court Reporting Services in Los Angeles in addition to being a freelance actress.

'80 Greg and Christine Pottle '81 Moffet purchased Tiga Advertising, Inc., and have moved with their two daughters to Vail. * Jan Vacek Rose, husband Chuck, and children Margaret and Patrick, reside in Littleton, Colo., where Jan is vice president/chief information officer at Guaranty National Insurance Co. in nearby Englewood.

'81 Kevin Gilmore is an archaeologist with SWCA Inc., Environmental Consultants in Denver. * Kelle Kolkmeier Klein lives in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, where she teaches at Polk Elementary School. * A hydraulic engineer with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers in Seattle, Christopher Lynch has passed the professional engineering exam. * Michael and Kelly Green '84 McQueen reside in Phoenix, where Michael works at Phoenix Children's Hospital and Kelly works at the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale.

'83 Peter Armstrong and Kathleen Dinndorf were married May 27 in Denver. '84 Alex and Virginia Headden Mott have moved to Malaysia, where Alex is regional manager of Southeast Asia for Nokia, and Virginia is helping U S West start up a communications venture. * Dr. Rick Pfeiffer has recently returned to Colorado Springs from the CU-Denver Medical Center. Now oneof the orthopedic surgeons with the Colorado Springs Orthopedic Group, he and his staff are busy giving physicals to all athletes at Colorado College.

'85 Matthew Jones, who stopped by the Alumni Office while in town visiting his parents, joined David Kilty and Jennifer Hahn '86 for a jam session. * Irving Katz is associate producer at WXYZ-TV in Southfield, Mich. * Ellen O'Brien and Steve Kauffmann were married May 6 in Denver. Alumni in attendance were David Tenner '81, Lisa Moody Breslin '83, Dan Martin '84, and Laura Fulginiti. * Jennifer Pellerito Taylor is a merchandiser at Polo Ralph Lauren in New York. * Pam Riney-Kehrberg is an associate professor of history at Illinois State University in Normal, Ill.

'86 Jackie Knowlton and John Lopez-Ona were married May 13 in Phoenix. Jackie is director of operations and planning for the K-III Communications Corp. in New York. * Leeann Lucas, formerly Leeann Manning, counsels at-risk children in Jackson, Wyo. * John Simon and Carol Warren were married July 10 in Santa Fe. Alumni in attendance were Tim Bell, James Kirchhof, Jim Murphy and Carrie Battilega '87, Mike Ramsey, and Dave Sharp. John and Carol reside in New York.

'87 Netty Coniglio and Kent Lindberg were married Dec. 31, 1994, in Denver. Alumni in attendance were Brigham '85 and Leslie Calvin Olson, Paul Avant, Lisa Orup, Eliot Payson, Vic Sunshine, Traci Telander and John Carron '89. Netty is director of financial services at the University of Denver. * Robert Hornik and Laurie Miller were married June 25 in New York. Robert teaches in the Gemini program for gifted students at the Herricks Middle School in Albertson, Long Island. * Lisa MacLellan lives in London, where she is manager of the Institute of Economic Affairs environment unit. She welcomes letters and visitors. * Heather Schmidt is director of communications at the Office of the Civil Rights Monitor in Los Angeles. * Lisa Seeland Schuh is an attorney with Snell & Wilmer in Phoenix.

'88 Abiy Desta is a biochemist with the radiation, biology branch of the Food & Drug Administration in Rockville, Md. * Brian Grossman lives in Shanghai, China, where he is an attorney with a joint venture consulting firm. Sharon works as a personnel analyst for the city of Newport News, Va. * Paris Luedke Murray is a private art dealer in New York. * Ginny Sisson is a project consultant with Bank America International in New York. * Randy Zuckerman is a third year student at Dartmouth Medical School.

'89 Tony Fitch lives in Boothbay Harbor, Maine, where he is commercial diver for sea urchins and fishes for giant Atlantic bluefin tuna aboard the vessel Asterias on the marine coast. He welcomes visitors and can be reached at 207-633-3001. * Anj Gardner practices tax law in Minneapolis with the firm of Grey Plant and Mooty. * Jean Maxfield Halley is in graduate school at the SUNY Graduate Center for her doctorate in sociology. Dickerson, Bozeman, MT 59715. * Pamela Weidler Krueger joined the firm of Lane Powell Spears Lubersky in Seattle as a land use and insurance law associate. * Andrew Masterman is president of Walbro Japan Inc., a subsidiary of Walbro Corp. responsible for the manufacture, distribution, and sales of Walbro small engine products in Japan. * Jeanne McFarland-McDonald is assistant director/box office manager for the Office of Concerts and Cultural Programs at the University of Colorado at Boulder. * Gail Thoms was visited by Jennifer Daley Johnson and her mother Carole Carlson Daley '59 in Paris, where she lives and works as marketing manager for Delphi Automotive Systems.

'90 Naomi Cohen and Joshua Ivker were married June 11 in Denver. Alumni in attendance were Ray Clark '88, Max '88 and Morgan Turner Imhoff, Ilana Steinberg, Cathy Farrow '92, and Peter Padilla '92. * Todd Prusin reports that the gathering of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of the Jiggle Brothers Appreciation Society was a huge success. Todd, a contributing writer to Relix magazine, is relocating to Denver where he will be the vinyl manager at the music store, Twist & Shout. * Andrew and Janna Rademacher Swartz reside in St. Paul, Minn., where Andrew is an architect with the Professional Design Group, and Janna is a sales and rights manager with Graywolf Press. * Rick and Kate Steele Tormohlen live in Denver, where Rick is a resident at Swedish Medical Center after graduating from C.U. medical school in 1994. Kate is a part-time psychotherapist who enjoys spending most of her time with their daughter. * John Turley is president of First Impressions, Inc., in Westbrook, Maine, and a full time volunteer minister in the Portland congregation of Jehovah's Witnesses.

'92 Lia Brown is the business/general manager at Marin Theatre Company in Mill Valley, Calif. * John Galbraith is working toward his Ph.D. in chemistry at the University of Georgia in Athens. He reports that Brian Kellogg '93 is also there, working in the physics department. * Ethan Hemming is a data analyst with the Center for Health Services Research at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver. Kelley is a graduate student at the University of California at Berkeley, where she is a Ph.D. candidate in psychology.

'94 Michelle Berry is a staff writer at Gov. Roy Romer's press office in Denver. * Michelle Kaye plans to attend the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Pasadena, Calif., in Jan. * Thad Ryals is a first year medical student at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Christopher White and Lilly Urbina '93 were married July 22 in Denver. Chris attends Santa Clara University law school and Lilly teaches bilingual education in nearby San Jose, Calif.

'95 Arron Lujan and Jeff Short are on the GTE District VII academic team picked by the College Sports Information Directors of America. Arron was an all-American in soccer and Jeff competed in lacrosse.
