'30 Louise Lincoln Hiller is retired and living in Fort Collins, Colo.

'32 Mary Vollmer and Connie Postlethwaite Murray enjoy living at the Village at Skyline in Colorado Springs and have dinner together every night. They are also in touch with Sam '33 and Mary Bloom Vickerman, who live in the old North End of town.

'38 Ruth Doughty Bitters wrote to let us know that the four class officers for '38 still keep in touch. They are Ruth, secretary, Ed Pelz, class president, Jean Fontius Cartwright, vice president, and Dick Dickison, treasurer.

'44 J. Thomas Fox, a certified senior advisor with Retirement Planning Center in Sun City West, Ariz., completed a comprehensive course on priority senior issues, becoming a professional leader in addressing issues concerning senior citizens.

'49 Ruth Fortson Anderson reported to us that her husband, Emil, passed away in February. Ruth lives in Grinnell, Iowa, where she has gone back to work at Iowa Valley Community College.

'52 50th Reunion - Oct. 11-13, 2002!

'55 Bruce Kellner authored the book Kiss Me Again. It includes a chapter about Amanda Ellis, a professor of English at Colorado College.

'58 Coralie Allen is an usher at the Ted Mann Concert Hall on the University of Minnesota campus. In January, Coralie had the honor of seeing 160 U of M medical students receive their white coats. Among those who received their medical degrees were two CC graduates, Daniel D. Miller '98 and Kari Thompson '99. "I felt as proud of them as if I had been their grandmother," Coralie commented. * According to his wife, Barbara, Robert Jones is doing well after brain surgery and a full recovery is expected. Bob retired after 28 years with the Cheyenne Mountain School District in Colorado Springs as an elementary school principal and boys' tennis and basketball coach. * Edwin Ruland lives in Grand Junction, Colo., where he is a retired judge. He will spend 25% of his time as a part-time 'senior judge' wherever needed in the state judicial system.

Frank Cergizan is retired and living in Farmington, N.M. * Tucker Heitman is a missionary in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, with the South American Missionary Society, which is affiliated with the Episcopal Church. * Bob Selig was sworn in as a new charter trustee for Colorado College at the Board of Trustees meeting in February. Bob lives in Woodside, Calif., where he is president of Davis Instruments.

Terrill Jones and his wife, Irene, have been married for 20 years. Terrill is one year from retirement as a resource specialist with the San Bernardino City Schools in San Bernardino, Calif.

Normand Laurence is president of Gestion Nogisca Inc. in Rosemere, Quebec. He is still active in university teaching, consultation, and playing golf. * Joan Seelig Silver McCarty is owner of Harrison Boat Storage and Repair, Inc., in Harrison, Idaho. * Elizabeth Quint Mangerich has retired from elementary school counseling. She substitutes a few days a month to remind herself of the pros and cons of what she's missing. Three grandsons under age 3, after raising two daughters, is "a gender switch that has been a quite wonderful experience. Wish we were younger." * Marilyn Goldberg Markowitz lives in Boulder, Colo., where she maintains her artist's studio. * Ben Melton sold his business in November of '93 and bought a fifth-wheel trailer, which he uses to travel five or six months each year. * Leilani Markisen Miller has been elected to the National Board of Directors for the American Sewing Guild. Besides her travel and duties as board secretary, she is writing a series of booklets for the Guild. Both she and her husband, Lew, volunteer with Habitat for Humanity. * Mike and Carol Fisher Minelli are both semiretired. Mike still raises and sells game birds and Carol is a part-time travel consultant. They have six grandchildren, the oldest of whom got his driver's license in March. * Victoria Morey is retired and living in Homewood, Ill. * Kathie Bruce Murphy owns Kathie Murphy Interior Design Associates in Santa Rosa, Calif. She is kept busy remodeling and furnishing houses. * Susan Block Potterat is a buyer and salesperson for the Chinook Bookshop in Colorado Springs. * William Powell is the superintendent of the Strasburg, Colo., school district. He says, "I enjoy working with teachers and students during these exciting times." * Ruth Richardson Richards is the director of development of the American Lung Association of Oklahoma, where she works with another CC grad, Stephanie Bonebrake Williams '91. * Clifton Rouse is a sales engineer for Flowserve in Tulsa, Okla. "All good at this time." * Jim and Ann Armstrong Scarboro live in Boulder, Colo. Jim is an attorney with Arnold and Porter in Denver. He lost 85% of his vision in a bike accident four years ago, but is doing well, playing the guitar and "listening-reading" in his spare time. Ann's new pastime business, Mosaic Media, makes educational videos about ethnic writers. Their grown children are 32, 30, 27 and 25. * Fred Singleton has been retired for eight years and works part time as the field services director for the Illinois Principals Association. He is a grandfather now and has a condo in Florida, which he wishes he had bought sooner.

'65 Lucy Cristy retired in September 2000 from her position as a federal probation officer. She lives in Allyn, Wash.

'66 At the end of the year, Joan Batchelder will retire from her position as fixed-income chief at MFS Investment Management in Boston, Mass.

William Beaver has been appointed as the first director of communications for The British Red Cross. * Barbara Keener has joined the national staff of American Humanics as the vice president for Academic Partnerships. Barbara recently was named Outstanding Doctoral Graduate by the College of Education, Department of Educational Leadership at the University of Florida in Gainesville.

'68 Classes of '67 & '68 - 35th Cluster Reunion - Oct. 11-13, 2002!
Bob Hiester is a math teacher and head lacrosse coach at Steamboat Springs High School in Steamboat Springs, Colo. * After 28 years with J.P. Morgan & Co., Inc., John McColloch retired as managing director in October. He moved into a newly built home in Portsmouth, R.I., where he is settling into retirement.

'69 John Pearson lives in Bothell, Wash., where he continues to substitute-teach in the Northshore School District.

'70 John Schlesinger is managing director for Soundview Technology Group in San Francisco.

'71 Kat Bradley-Bennett taught English at a Korean University for about two years. "It's safe to say that CC's invitation to volunteer in China in 1999 opened the door to my teaching in Korea." Kat planned to return to the U.S. in June, where she hopes to do some writing and get a couple books published.

Christine Kadlub and Rick Solomon were married Feb. 10, 2001. They live in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. For the first time, Christine is not working, so she can "pursue adventure full time."

Pat Donnelly Ziegler and her husband, Tom, are almost empty-nesters, with their youngest a freshman in high school. They live in the woods of northeast Florida and dream of traveling in a motor home "…in 10 years." They would love to hear from friends.

'74 Russell Martin received an award from the Denver-based Colorado Center for his nonfiction book, Beethoven's Hair.

'75 Marian Davenport was named senior vice president of legislative and regulatory affairs at Dynegy Inc. in Houston, Texas.

'76 Gregg Easterbrook is the author of the book Tuesday Morning Quarterback.

'77 25th Reunion - Oct. 11-13, 2002!
Dan Dickison is a senior editor at Sail Net-Internet in Charleston, S.C., where he lives with his wife, Cindi, and their son, Bennett. * Katie Scudder Grose retired after eight years as director of the Maharishi Ayurveda Medical Center in Lancaster, Mass. She lives in Biddeford, Maine, with her husband, Roger. * Jean Robertson Lemmon received the Distinguished Member of House Award from the American Association of Petroleum Geologists. Jean lives in Tulsa, Okla., where she is a consulting geologist.

'78 Richard Greenslade is an account director with Gandini & Rendina in Milan, Italy, where he also sings a little for fun. He and his wife, Luisa, have three children: Zoe, Jacopo and Filippo. * Kurt Pantzer, an Indianapolis attorney, directs historic district residential redevelopment for College Corner, which in 2001 was awarded the Mayor's Monumental Award as the project that most significantly enhanced the visual and physical environment of Indianapolis. * Alan Prendergast was on campus in January, where he spoke at the "New Perspectives on the Prison System" roundtable. Alan is the author of The Prison-Industrial Complex. The roundtable was part of a larger symposium entitled "Drugs, Prisons, and the Punitive State." * Steven Roos is a staff anesthesiologist with Asheville Anesthesia Associates, P.A., in Asheville, N.C. * Jennifer Bails Wallace and her daughter, Dorothy, relocated to her hometown of Buena Vista, Colo., after the death of her husband, Pat, in January 2001.

'79 Erica Olson Jeffrey is editor of news and information at www.pcb007.com, a job that allows her to work at home and travel abroad for company meetings. Erica lives in Marysville, Calif., and keeps in touch with Winnie Barron, who heads up an orphanage in Makindu, Kenya.

'80 Nina Brodsky lives in Austin, Texas, with her husband, Charles Whitley, and their twin sons, Chi and Tat. * Suzanne Tanner Chitwood is the author of the book Wake Up, Big Barn!, to be published by Scholastic Books. * After two years of teaching in Colombia, Jane Haggerty-Krader and her husband, Hans-Peter, are now in Bahrain. * Dave Shepperly is senior medical director at Bristol-Myers Squibb in New Brunswick, N.J.

'81 Judy Cook Bettinger and her husband, Troy, live in Westminster, Colo., where Judy is a busy stay-at-home mom to children, Helen, Benjamin, Marian and Peter. * After being furloughed from United Airlines as a result of the events of Sept. 11, Jim Bowman re-entered active duty as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force. He works for HQ NORAD as an air operations officer. He's glad to be back home in Colorado with his wife, Tara, and their children. * Jane Darlington Brown is a partner at Paine, Hamblen, Coffin, Brooke & Miller LLP, in Spokane, Wash. She joined the firm as an associate in 1995. * Sue Ellis is president and C.E.O. of The Murrayhill Company. She lives in Denver with her 4-year-old daughter, Natalie. * Katie Davis Gardner, curator of the Colorado Springs Pioneer Museum, was on campus to discuss "The Genius of Artus Van Briggle: His Art and His Legacy" during the Aficionados Luncheon in January.

Carolyn Ness Decker is a research specialist with Howard Hughes Medical Institute in Tucson, Ariz. * Scott Hampson is vice president of the manufacturing and supply chain at Toshiba in Irvine, Calif. He lives in Mission Viejo with his wife, Julie, and their son, Kyle. * Dean Winstanley and friend Bruce Caughey wrote The Colorado Guide, generally recognized as the most comprehensive Colorado travel guide. The fifth edition came out in the fall.

'83 Grace Bell Killorin lives in Lake Forest Park, Wash., with her husband, Tom, and their children, Benjamin and May. Grace is a therapist in private practice. * Shawn Sigstedt lives in Steamboat Springs with his wife, Jenny. Shawn does research on the conservation of medicinal plants in the Rocky Mountain area and lectures nationally on global nature conservation. They founded Healing Planet Educational Institute, Inc., a nonprofit institution, to help develop and promote their programs. * Andrew Worlock is a surveyor and field chief for Schofield, Barbini, and Hoehn in Vineyard Haven, Mass.

'84 David Atkins wrote and directed the independent film "Novocaine," starring Steve Martin and Laura Dern. * Darlina Chambers and Gregg Eichman '87 were married Sept. 9, 2000, in Manitou Springs, Colo. The two dated for four years at CC - 20 years earlier. They live in Oklahoma City, Okla. * Mischa Eovaldi lives in Watsonville, Calif., where she is a licensed clinical social worker in psychotherapy and counseling. She and her husband, Tim Landeck, have two children, Emily and Colin. * Jerry Kyle is a partner in the Austin, Texas, office of Andrews & Kurth L.L.P. * Daniel Levitt lives in Santa Fe, N.M., where he works for Science & Engineering Assoc., Inc.

'85 Ruben Arquilevich lives in San Anselmo, Calif., with his wife, Vivien, and their sons, Jonah and Max. Ruben is the director of UAHC Camp Swig and the Newman Institutes. * David Crabtree is a supervising psychiatric social worker at Central California Women's Facility in Chowchilla, Calif. * Sheldon Smith, CC's first dance major, was on campus in March to perform "Hi! Performance" in Armstrong Theatre. * Cynthia Whiteside and Thomas McGrath were married June 30, 2001, in Eagan, Minn. Alumni in attendance were Cy Whiteside '59, Becky Ross Roten, Steve Daly '86, Elizabeth Lutz Ingham '86, Kyle Nelson '86 and Jesse Whitehead '94.

'86 Tamara Bartlett is attending the graduate school of public affairs at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. * Amanda Seaman Notz is a special education teacher for Northern Rhode Island Collaborative in Mansfield, Mass. * Glenn Primack co-manages the FMI Focus Fund, which was rated the best-performing mutual fund for the five-year period by The Wall Street Journal.

'87 Corey Abel and Jenni Jordan were married Oct. 14, in Boulder, Colo. Alumni in attendance were Tom Ori, Greg Slater, and Steve and Lauren Brown '86 Sundstrom. Corey is a lecturer for core curriculum in the Humanities Department at Denver University. * Marie Butcher and her daughter, Suraya Noor, live in Monterey, Calif., where Marie is teaching English as a second language at Monterey Peninsula College. She would love to hear from classmates. * Anne Doud lives outside of Boulder, Colo., with her children, Ella and Dillon. * Lisa Holtby writes: "My husband, David Hlavsa, and I walked 400 miles of the Camino de Santiago, a thousand-year-old spiritual pilgrimage route across northern Spain." They live in Seattle, Wash., where Lisa is in her seventh year of teaching at Seattle Yoga Arts. * Melinda Rees and Richard Bennett were married Nov. 17 in Watamu, Kenya. Melinda's sister, Catherine Rees Cooper '90, was her maid of honor. Juli Gammon also attended. * Lisa Seeland Schuh and Bill Decker were married April 7, 2001. They live in Denver with Lisa's six-year-old son, Alex. Lisa is a partner practicing environmental litigation and compliance at Holme Roberts & Owen, L.L.P. * Dave Thorsett is an orthopedic surgeon in Salem, Ore.

'88 Friends gathered for a "girls' weekend" last August in Carmel Valley, Calif. Those attending the minireunion were Anita Beshore, Lissa Menge Cook, Katy McNitt Jensen, Maryrose Kohan, Pamela Laurence, Sharon Sturr Lund, Kim Race, and Lori Johnson '89. * Diane Clark Dwire lives in Steamboat Springs, Colo., where she spends her time traveling for work and playing in a women's ice hockey league. Recent adventures include traveling to Europe, riding a bicycle in an AIDS Vaccine Ride from Montreal to Maine, and playing women's professional football for the Colorado Valkyries last year. * Greg Griffin, a business reporter for The Denver Post, received the 2001 Morton Margolin Prize for Distinguished Business Reporting for his article, "All That Glitters," published in the Denver Post on Oct. 29, 2000. * Karen Kay Simmons completed the Disney World Marathon in January. "It was a long but rewarding experience," she says.

'89 Dale Askey is librarian for Germanic Languages and Literatures at Yale University in New Haven, Conn. * Paul FitzGibbon operates a charter fishing and wilderness adventure business in Sitka, Alaska, during the summer. He teaches high school during the rest of the year. * Julia Slotnik and Marc Sturm were married Jan. 26 in Brooklyn, N.Y. Alumni in attendance were Julie Maher Byrtr, Jorge Wilmer, Katy Zaremba, Chris '90 and Cydney Dundon Allison, Kyle Stokes '90 and Seth Miller '90. * Sebastian Suhl lives in Paris, where he works at the PRADA Group as general manager of PRADA France.

'90 Michael Goldman lives in St. Louis, Mo., with his wife, Elaine, and their daughters, Louisa and Eleanor. * Chris Harrison is an associate with the Austin, Texas, firm of Fulbright & Jaworski L.L.P. * James Langston is a professor of English for the Houston (Texas) Community College System. He says he is "waiting for old buddies to come fishing in the Gulf." * Kate Ryan works for Terry Reilly Health Services in Nampa, Idaho.

'91 Christine Clarkson and Aurelian Craiutu were married May 19, 2001 in Denver. Alumni in attendance were Todd '88 and Helen Durany '88 Breyfogle, Amy Hempe, and Dan Wiencek. Also in attendance were Professor Tim Fuller and his wife, Kalah, and Professor Owen Cramer and his wife, Becky. Christy and Aurelian live in Bloomington, Ind., where Christy is finishing her doctorate in classics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, studying Romanian and playing the piano. They have three cats, Sapphie, Zoe and Mimi. * In 2001, Alison Dunlap was recognized as the amateur athlete of the year by The Colorado Sports Hall of Fame. She was also The Colorado Springs Gazette's Athlete of the Year 2001, and was chosen by Sports Illustrated for Women for a full-length feature in the March/April issue. * Alicia Otis Goldberg lives in Dripping Springs, Texas, where she is a writer, having already published three books. * Jen Rodi Hoglin and her husband, Dennis, live in St. Paul, Minn., with their eldest daughter Bailey and their triplets, Lauren, Andre, and Wesley. Jen reports that "chaos is the norm," but all are doing fine, including the dog, who had surgery to remove 13 pacifiers. * Lucian Jones and Sarah Douglass '89 live in Winston-Salem, N.C., with their son, Henry. Lucian is completing his anesthesiology residency at Wake Forest University. * Jennifer Micheletti teaches seventh- and eighth-grade English in Whitefish, Mont., where she is also pursuing a master's degree in technology in education. * Heidi Pingel and John Stone were married Aug. 25, 2001. * Tiffany Shipp teaches history at Widefield High School in Colorado Springs.

Alice Behrens DeVaney lives in Owings Mills, Md., where she is a single mother of two girls, Blake and Morgan. She recently started a graduate program in school counseling. * Tim and Cassi Cooper Hammerstein live in Denver with their daughter, Zoe. Cassi launched her graphic design business, Westmarch Design, and Tim received academic sponsorship to climb Mt. Illampu (Bolivia), Mt. Alpamayo (Peru) and Mt. Chimborazo (Ecuador) this summer. * Marisa Howe and Seth Webb were married June 3, 2001. Marisa is a research assistant at Northern Arizona University's Center for Environmental Science and Education. * Shana MacKenzie and Stephen Taylor were married Dec. 22 in Wailea, Maui. They live in Nashville, Tenn. * Nicole Plotkin lives in Boulder, Colo., where she is enrolled at Boulder College of Massage Therapy. * Tom Trinidad lives in South Bend, Ind., where he is a graduate student at the University of Notre Dame. * Willett Willis is a senior court management consultant in Denver.

'93 Laura Baker lives in Granger, Ind., where she is a stay-at-home mom. * Janet Buttenwieser and Matt Wiley were married July 28, 2001, in Seattle, Wash. Alumnus Jon Elsberg performed the ceremony. Other alumni in attendance were Orion Poplawski '92, Leslie Allen, Penny Brandt, Marieka Brown, Perry and Amy Edwards Brown, Sung Chang, Gretchen Corbin, Diana DiStefano, Laura Hemmy, Gina Hupton, Alan Mishell, Neal Nickles, Alex Olsen, Sara Phillips, Martha Ross and Peirce Kroh '94. * Leigh Gillette is program director of Durango Nature Studies in Durango, Colo. * Zachary Gray and Violette Gharavi were married Sept. 2 in Dana Point, Calif. Alumnus Brian Kellogg was in attendance. Zachary and Violette live in west Los Angeles, where Brian is enjoying his second year of residency training in emergency medicine at U.C.L.A. Medical Center. * Mark Hummels quit his job as a reporter for the Santa Fe New Mexican and is now attending law school at the University of Arizona in Tucson. * Meredith Manning is a marketing manager with Pfizer, Inc., in New York. * Sharleen Pisciotta is an instructor in writing at the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs. * Jonathan Sherman is vice president at Cypress Group, L.L.C., in New Orleans, La.

'94 Carol Bradley is a client services manager at the University of Washington in Bothell. * Lynda Olman and Patrick Walsh were married June 16, 2001. * Jill Pederson is pursuing a Ph.D. in the history of art at Johns Hopkins University.

'95 Erin Billings and Geoff Service were married Aug. 25, 2001, in Healdsburg, Calif. Alumni in attendance were Jesse Whitehead '94 and Kamla Gardner. Erin and Geoff live in St. Paul, Minn. * Christina Hickok and Matthew Carey were married Sept. 16, 2000, in Dwight, Ont. * John Holecek is pursuing travel interests and anticipates entering graduate school in atmospheric science in the fall. * William Lawrence and Melissa Brown were married Sept. 22. William is director of corporate strategy at Qwest Communications in Denver. * Liesel Reinisch started her own personal chef/catering company, Relish Personal Cuisine, in Los Angeles. * Jennifer Rudnick is director of business development at Cytoprint, Inc., in Santa Fe, N.M. * Alex Salazar is a teacher for the Association of the Advancement of Mexican Americans in Houston, Texas. An exhibition of his paintings and drawings took place during April at Mo Mong in Houston. * Tanya Skurski lives in Bend, Ore., where she is a botanist with the U.S. Forest Service. * Lori Walter and Mark McMullen were married Oct. 6 on Kiawah Island, S.C. Alumni in attendance were Johnna Kietzmann '94, Brady '94 and Karen Baker Nathan, Gretchen Nowak Coker, Jean Ferguson, Tim Hare, Marybeth Schlegel Renfrow, Christy Wendt and Tricia Weppner. Lori and Mark live in Boulder, Colo., where Lori is a physical therapist at Boulder Orthopedics.

'96 Jean-Marc Duplantier and Sarah Gillen were married Dec. 29 in Carmel, Ind. Alumni in attendance were Dan Burgard, Marshall Carver, Bill Dunbar, Josh Horton and Michael Slaughter. Jean-Marc is attending graduate school at Louisiana State University. * Jamie Roberts is an assistant director at Arena Stage and Stanislavsky Theatre Studio in Washington, D.C., where she also teaches the opera workshop course. Additionally, she lectures at the Rome School of Music at Catholic University. Jamie and Nathan Rasch '97 bought a house in the D.C. area last summer. * Joel Schilling attends Washington University's School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo. * Ashley Struck lives in Anchorage, Alaska, where she is a teacher and freelance writer. * From April through September, Kate Voorhees is backpacking the Pacific Crest Trail to raise money for cancer research. After completing her master's degree, Bonnie Algera is looking forward to some quiet time with no major life changes…"at least for now." * Sonya Berger is a park ranger with the National Park Service at the National Mall in Washington, D.C. "Majoring in geology sure helped prepare me to talk about American history." * Katie Burdell is a marketing database analyst with Washington Mutual in Seattle. * Jason Davis is a G.I.S. developer for Geo Net.Es in Boston, Mass. * Melina Draper is a teaching assistant at the University of New Hampshire in Durham. * Ryan Hamilton and Sarah Buckey were married Dec. 30, 2000.
