Please join us in Packard Hall on Wednesday, October 8 at 4:00 pm as Professor Ryan Banagale (class of 2000) discusses his new book, "Arranging Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue and the Creation of an American Icon."   Hailed as "a fascinating exploration of the 'active and, at times, surprising life' of an American musical icon" and offering "a savvy approach that opens up fresh ways of hearing and understanding the piece" (Jeffrey Magee, Associate Professor of Music and Theater at the University of Illinois), Banagale's book has just been released by Oxford University Press and will be availabe for purchase at this event. Help us celebrate this great accomplishement and leave with a signed copy!
