Stephen Sondheim's critically acclaimed musical COMPANY comes to Colorado College's Armstrong hall! This landmark musical examines bachelor Robert's hopes and fears for marriage on the brink of his 35th birthday. He's sure that somewhere, sometime, the perfect girl just for him will appear, and until she makes herself known, he is content to play the field and observe the unfailingly quirky lives of all of his married friends. The 1970 musical was nominated for a record 14 Tony Awards, winning six. Sondheim's score includes a host of memorable songs including, "Being Alive," "You Could Drive a Person Crazy," "Marry Me a Little," and the number that solidified Elaine Stritch as one of the greatest of Broadway stars, "The Ladies Who Lunch." A talented cast of Colorado College student performers act, sing and dance in a production by the Music Department in collaboration with the Student Music Theatre Group. All shows are in Armstrong Hall; performances are 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5, and at 3 p.m. on Sunday, April 6.
