Description

Lecture

The Economics and Business Department welcomes Andrew Schnackenberg, Ph.D. candidate, Case Western University, to give the next talk in the 2013-14 Seminar Series: "Organizational Transparency: Discovering Its Meaning, Measurement, and Implications for Organizational Trust." In his research on governance, Schnackenberg explores how modifications in organizational controls disrupt organizational routines to generate explorative and exploitative learning. In his research on transparency, he examines the factors that lead individuals, groups, and organizations to materialize higher levels of transparency into speech acts, policies, procedures, and other communications. This line of research also seeks to uncover how transparent exchanges of information lead individuals, groups, and organizations to form trusting relationships.
