Location

Richard F. Celeste Theatre
Edith Kinney Gaylord Cornerstone Arts Center, 825 N. Cascade Ave. (map)

Description

"The Icarus Play" (working title) is Idris Goodwin's modernized take on the classic Greek myth. (The one where the kid’s wax wings melt off when he flies too close to the sun and he plummets to his death.) Goodwin's loose re-interpretation focuses on recent college graduates trying to achieve their highest potential. "The Icarus Play" will run Oct 17-20, 2013. Rehearsals will run through Blocks 1 and 2. Goodwin is looking for actors across gender, race, height, and experience level. Any and all CC students are welcome to audition. Ideal candidates are reliable, have a great attitude, are adventurous, and believe in magic. Audition dates: Tuesday, April 30, 8-10 p.m. and Wednesday, May 1, 3:30-6 p.m. Audition times are by appointment. Please contact writer/director Idris Goodwin by email idris.goodwin@coloradocollege.edu. Put "Icarus" in the subject line and he will respond with what you should prepare for the audition.
