Clara Lomas is a superb teacher, with a solid theoretical background, and a vast knowledge of Hispanic and Chicano literatures, particularly dealing with Mexican American writers. Dr. Lomas is demanding and challenging, enthusiastic about her work, and spends an inordinate amount of time with students to improve their theses writing. Dr. Lomas is a published scholar, having concentrated her research on post-colonial and post-modern literary theories, and has participated in numerous congresses and professional meetings both in the United States and abroad.
