Director of the Collegium Musicum and Instructor in Recorder
NANCY EKBERG received her B.A. from Colorado College. She completed graduate studies at The Lamont School of Music at The University of Denver in 1983, earning her degree in the Orff Schulwerk Certification Program. From 1979-89 she composed the soundtracks for Kids' Corner, Ltd., a pediatric education company which sold award-winning programs in the United States, Australia, Saudi Arabia, and Canada. In 1998 she was the musical director and composer for the TheatreWorks production of She Stoops to Conquer, and has been involved in many musical productions throughout Colorado. Currently Nancy teaches recorder and directs the Colorado College Early Music Wind Ensemble, a part of the Collegium Musicum at Colorado College. Her recorder quartet, Amuse, performs throughout Colorado and has been coached by Bart Spanhov of the Belgium Flanders Recorder Quartet. She has studied recorder with the Flanders Recorder Quartet and Eva Legêne.
