Michael Siddoway

Associate Dean of the Faculty & Professor of Mathematics

Mike's research interests are in commutative algebra and module theory. He's also spent a lot of time in the last few years learning some computational algebraic geometry and reading in the history of mathematics. Though from a famous Montana fly fishing family, he rarely meets the yearly minimum requirements for novice status let alone those to carry his family name. Reads a lot, expertly trains steely nerved retrievers, and spent the first few weeks of his sabbatical playing Steve Earle songs in the Paris Metro.

As Associate Dean of the Faculty, Mike is responsible for:

  • Capital equipment requests (lab, studio, technology needs)
  • Curricular issues & course schedule
