David Mason

Professor, Chair

The past year has been full of activity. In addition to teaching and writing for periodicals like The Wall Street Journal, The Hudson Review, and The Sewanee Review, I've brought out a new collection of poems: Sea Salt: Poems of a Decade, 2004-2014. And now I can also welcome a new children's book: Davey McGravy: Tales to be read Aloud to Children and Adult Children, wonderfully illustrated by Grant Silverstein. My opera with Tom Cipullo, After Life, premieres in Seattle and San Francisco in May 2015, and The Scarlet Letter (with composer Lori Laitman) will premiere at Opera Colorado in Denver in May 2016.
