I have been at Colorado College for 13 years, working first in the Financial Aid Office and then as a liaison between CC students and local school districts, facilitating service-learning projects. I have been in the Education Department for 8 years now, as the primary advisor for students interested in pursuing teacher licensure, either as an undergraduate or through our Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) program. I have recently accepted a promotion into the role of Director of Teacher Educator Programs, which now includes the Experienced MAT program/Literacy Intervention Specialist Certification Program (LISCP).
I am passionate about working with CC students during this incredibly transformative time in their lives--it's well known that there is always a bowl of chocolate and a box of tissues in my office. I am blessed to work with a great team and excited for the journey of this new role.
Outside of CC, I am currently enrolled in an Organizational Leadership master's program, which pretty much takes up most of my free time. But in those spare moments, I love to play volleyball with my husband, run with my dog (my baby girl), get lost in a good book, enjoy a glass of red wine and visit my twin nephews in New York.
