Gifted and Talented
For 34 years, Colorado College has offered this three-week summer program for gifted elementary school students. Children entering grade one through grade six next August are eligible for these courses, which are designed to challenge the children’s intellectual and creative abilities.
Directed by Professor Charlotte Mendoza, Professor in the Colorado College Education Department, the program brings to the campus teachers who are experienced and skilled in working with gifted children and who are well educated in their fields. Each teacher has an assistant to help provide the individual attention that gifted children need. Click here to learn more about our G&T teachers!
Children accepted into the Gifted and Talented program will attend one of our fun and engaging classes, each morning for three weeks, M-F, in June. Click below to see our program flyer and our 2015 class descriptions. Also below is a clip from our Shakespeare class last summer. In this class, each year, children create costumes, stage props, and act in a Shakespeare play or targeted scenes from several of them.
See below for the 2015 G&T summer program updates!
Due to the nature of this program and its size limit, please do not apply if you cannot commit your child to attend for the ENTIRE three-week duration.
