Neal Rappaport Neal

Neal Rappaport is a Visiting Professor of Economics following his retirement as a Professorat the US Air Force Academy. In addition to his academic experience, Neal has specialized in economic development in conflict and post-conflict areas like Iraq, Afghanistan, and the Balkans. He also worked on economic and security issues in several US government positions. He earned his PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and his BA and MBA from the University of Chicago.

Rich Fullerton


Visiting Professor

Rich Fullerton is a Visiting Professor of Economics following his retirement as a Permanent Professor and Vice Dean of the Faculty at the US Air Force Academy. Rich earned his PhD and MS in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, and his BS in Economics and Operations Research from the US Air Force Academy. He loves teaching microeconomics, game theory, industrial organization, and international trade. In his free time, Rich and his wife enjoy hiking, rock climbing, and whitewater rafting together -- even though she has had to repeatedly take him to the emergency room for x-rays following their outings.

Christina Rader


Christina Rader received her B.A. in economics from Carleton College, summa cum laude. She is currently finishing her Ph.D. in business administration at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business. Her research focuses on human judgment and decision making, especially as it relates to giving and taking advice. She has also been a lecturer in business at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Christina has ten years business experience in economics consulting, marketing, and tourism, including a stint as Vice President of Marketing for a luxury tour operator. In her spare time, Christina enjoys cooking, downhill skiing, and hiking with her dog, Jack. Christina grew up in Evergreen, Colorado and is very excited to return to Colorado and to the liberal arts.

Jessica Hoel


Jessica Hoel joins Colorado College after spending two years as an Associate Research Fellow at the International Food Policy Research Institute in Washington, DC. Her current work has taken her to Ethiopia, Senegal, and Tanzania, and she lived in rural western Kenya for more than a year. Jessica’s research uses experimental laboratory games to study household decision-making and the behavioral effects of poverty. Jessica received her Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Math and Economics from Reed College. Outside of work, Jessica enjoys yoga, hiking, and cooking.

Ale has worked on industries such as higher education, healthcare, and real estate. Ale is extremelly friendly and enjoys helping students.
