Jean is a Visiting Professor and visiting artist in the Art department at Colorado College in Colorado Springs.
Jean taught international print workshops with Colorado College faculty members, Kate Leonard and Carl Reed, at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden, in 2008 and 2009. In April 2011, she completed a month long residency at the Goldwell Museum in Rhyolite, Nevada. Jean also participated as an artist in residence at the Anderson Center for Interdisciplinary Studies in 2009, the Ucross Foundation in 2001 and at Rocky Mountain National Park in 1998. During the last two years, Jean taught workshops in reduction woodcut at Anderson Ranch Arts Center in Snowmass, CO, at The Bascom Art Center in Highlands, NC, at Western Wyoming College and at the Goldwell Museum in Rhyolite, Wyoming. She received a Visual Artist Fellowship award from the Colorado Council on the Arts in 2000.
She lives in Chipita Park with her husband Stephen Flynn.

Recent exhibitions include solo exhibitions at the South Dakota School of Mines (2011), Groveland Gallery in Minneapolis (2010) and Smokebrush Gallery in Colorado Springs (2010) and two person or small group exhibitions atWestern Wyoming College (2011), Davidson Gallery in Seattle (2011) and Galleri Thomassen in Gothenburg, Sweden (2010).
