This course unpacks the many ways administrators, teachers, and students are held accountable for educational outcomes. Grounded in contemporary discourse of high-stakes testing, this course addresses the intersection of educational policies, assessments, and instructional practices. This course is intended for anyone interested in educational policy as well as students interested in becoming classroom teachers. As such, we will examine assessment at multiple levels including school, programmatic, classroom, teacher and student. (Not offered 2019-20).
Prerequisite: Education 101 and Education 260 or consent of instructor.
