DA311 – Cultural Perspectives in Dance

Study of dance practices and their specific histories within and across cultures. Themes of embodiment, race, ethnicity, identity, migrational flows, appropriation and cultural exchange inform the analysis of the selected dance traditions, fusions and innovations. May meet either the Critical Perspectives: Global Cultures or Social Inequality requirement.
