AS211 – Fiber Arts

Fiber Arts explores both on and off loom fiber art processes with an emphasis on woven cloth.

This course will explore both on and off loom fiber art processes with an emphasis on woven cloth. Included in the course is investigation in dyeing techniques, batik, felting, and printing. Students will learn basic techniques with the stress on the exploration of such concepts as transparency, texture, form, pattern, and color.

Prerequisite: any 100-level art studio course or COI
