Tenure and promotion to associate professor for Assistant Professors Tamara Bentley, John Gould, Alberto Hernandez-Lemus, Dan Johnson, Genevieve Love and Patricia Pardue.
Tenure for Associate Professor Re Evitt.
Professor Emeritus status for Val Veirs.
Awarding an honorary degree to Commencement 2008 speaker Billy Collins.
Awarding honorary degrees during Opening Convocation in September 2008 to Randall Edwards ‘83, Cynthia Chavez ‘92 and Aaron Shure ‘88.
A new conflict of interest policy.
A new code of ethical conduct policy.
A renovation and addition plan for Tutt Library.
The KRCC “Earthship” project.
The Endowment Investment Policy portion of the Investment Policy.
A modified payout policy reduction plan for the endowment to accommodate the budget process.
Investment of the bond principle payments in the endowment.
While on campus, trustees attended a reception with William P. Carey Nobel Laureate of Economics Lecturer Professor Thomas C. Schelling, followed by his lecture; enjoyed a concert by folk music icon Odetta; dined with members of the Presidential International Advisory Committee; learned more about the future and direction of financial aid; and participated in a networking session with students.
