Mission Statement:
The office of alumni relations fosters life-long connections with students, alumni, and their families by providing memorable experiences and opportunities that inspire continued support of Colorado College.
Our staff:
ANITA PARISEAU, DIRECTOR OF ALUMNI RELATIONS
Anita is a native New Yorker. She earned her degree in communications management from Ithaca College and worked in journalism prior to her alumni relations career. Anita has 24 years of experience in alumni relations from Wellesley College, Harvard University and Colorado School of Mines. Anita was named director of alumni relations in April 2013 and resides in Colorado Springs. Her passions are writing, travel, the Great Outdoors, cooking, art, music, gardening and photography. She was honored when the Denver Post chose a poem she had written about the Colorado wildfires to appear alongside that of Colorado poet laureate and CC professor David Mason.
KRISTIE DAMGAARD, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF ON-CAMPUS PROGRAMS
Kristie is a third generation native of Colorado. She graduated from Colorado State in 1999 with a B.A. in Business and Economics, and moved to Colorado Springs shortly after. She has been at Colorado College since 2000, most of that time recruiting and working with alumni volunteers celebrating their reunions. Kristie is married and has two sons, Denton and Tanner. Kristie and her family enjoy hiking and camping.
MARK VERSEN, ASSISTANT DIRECTOR OF OFF-CAMPUS PROGRAMS
Mark Versen grew up in Highlands Ranch, Colorado and in 2009 graduated from Dickinson State University with a BS in business administration and a minor in marketing. He received his AS degree at McCook Community College in 2007 and played collegiate basketball at both MCC and DSU where he was named teamed captain three of the four years.
Upon graduating, Mark worked for Dickinson State University’s Entrepreneurial Center writing business plans, marketing plans, developing websites and planning community events that still have a presence today. In 2010, he was hired with the Dickinson State University Alumni and Foundation where he spent two and a half years as the Assistant Director of Alumni and Donor Relations.
At the DSU Alumni and Foundation, Mark implemented new events, spearheaded and completed a variety of fundraising campaigns, planned regional alumni events, oversaw the Alumni Association Board of Directors as well as the Foundation Board of directors, managed the DSU Alumni and Foundation website and was the key leader of the largest fundraiser on campus amongst other things.
He has served on the board of directors for the Coalition Of Charitable Organizations where he was treasurer for one term, served on the Dickinson Chamber Ambassadors committee and was a member of the Dickinson Young Professionals organization. Mark and his wife Jessie have a four-year-old daughter, Braelyn, a boxer, Denali and are expecting a new addition to the family in March of 2013.
JAYNE BLEWITT, ALUMNI PROGRAMS SPECIALIST
A longtime resident of Colorado Springs and a huge CC Tigers Hockey fan, Jayne Blewitt joined the staff in September of 2009. Jayne is a graduate of Kent State University with a B.S. in Dance. Jayne taught Dance at Pikes Peak Community College for ten years and in local studios for 18 years. She brings many years of event planning experience to the Alumni Relations Office, having worked with two local non-profits, the Performing Arts for Youth Organization (PAYO) and The Colorado Springs Dance Theatre. She is currently on the Board of Directors for PAYO and is a founding member of The Glass Artists Association of the Pikes Peak Region (GAPPR). Jayne and her husband Craig have two children, Eric and Carly. In her spare time she enjoys making glass jewelry, hiking, riding her cruiser bike and spending time with friends.
KRISSY OPPENHEIMER CAUDLE, ALUMNI PROGRAMS SPECIALIST
Originally from sunny San Diego, Krissy has lived in Colorado since 1978. She graduated from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs with a B.A. in Fine Art. Krissy joined the CC Office of Alumni Relations in 2002 and works with events and reunions. She also enjoys the responsibilities of supporting CC's Fifty Year Club events in Colorado Springs and Denver, which includes planning their annual induction service at Shove Chapel as well as their holiday formal tea. Krissy's family includes her husband Steve and their basset hounds Oliver, Lillian and Memphis Belle.
