CC Alumni Student Endorsement Program

Welcome CC alumni in education!

In order to ensure a prosperous future for the Colorado College community, we want your help in building our next incoming class! In 2010, the Admission Office unveiled the CC Alumni Student Endorsement (CCASE) Program to incorporate alumni in the admission process. CCASE encourages alumni educators to identify talented students in their respective communities and help guide them through the CC admission process. Through the CCASE program, you may endorse students you teach, mentor, or coach in or out of the classroom.

When you endorse a student's application, we will waive their $60 application fee as an incentive for them to move forward with the CC application process. An important feature of CCASE will include your narrative and insight into the student's personal and academic accomplishments, which will help us assess the student's candidacy and fit for CC.  Please see tips for writing an endorsement for more information.

Although writing a student endorsement does not guarantee the student’s admission to CC, it adds another dimension to the student’s application in our highly selective, holistic review process.  For the 2013-2014 admission cycle, we received 7,612 applications and had an overall admission rate of 18%.  25% of Early Decision applicants, 21% of Early Action applicants, and 11% Regular Action applicants were admitted. Please be aware of the admission deadlines so you can submit your endorsement in advance. We are now only accepting endorsements for Fall 2015 applicants.

Before endorsing a student, please take a few minutes to review our recommendations for writing an endorsement. It is our policy that you cannot endorse a student to whom you are related (i.e. son, daughter, nephew, niece, grandson, granddaughter, etc.).  If you have any questions about the program or your endorsement, please feel free to contact Roz Brokaw.

Thank you for your participation in building a strong CC study body!
