Biology of Microbes
Block B: June 29 - July 17
1 CC unit (4 semester hours). Fulfills the Critical Perspectives: Scientific Investigation of the Natural World lab or field requirement at Colorado College. One credit of natural science credit.

Classroom assignment: Barnes 421

An introduction to the microbial world including prokaryotic and eukaryotic microbes with emphasis on the biology of bacteria and viruses. Relationships involving structure and function, growth and human interactions, genetic applications and biotechnology, infectious processes, and microbial diseases will be examined through discussion and laboratory activities.

Prerequisites: None. Enrollment is limited to 24 students.
