EN 285 7910 Classroom Assignment: Palmer 227 This course will be in a workshop format, with an emphasis on student writing, combined with lectures and discussion on key works in three areas of creative nonfiction: the personal essay, memoir, and literary or narrative nonfiction. In this course we will address the limitations and flexibility of memory, the nature of nonfiction, and the point at which creativity becomes hazardous to an author's credibility.
