Colorado College Stories
What is the value of a liberal arts and sciences
education from Colorado College?
It’s a question we hear from prospective students, their parents,
and many others interested in CC. We even hear a version of it from our
current students, who obviously know why they chose Colorado College but
still aren’t sure what they’ll do when they graduate.
Such inquiry gets to the heart of why young men and
women should pursue higher education at all. Those of us who work and
teach at CC have many good answers, but the bottom line is this: At
Colorado College, students are prepared for leadership and for life.
They can adapt to the inevitable changes in our world because they’ve
had the opportunity to learn everything from physiology to political
economy -- on the Block Plan, which is both flexible and rigorous.
But ultimately the best endorsement of a CC liberal arts
and sciences education is those who experienced it and had a chance to
put it to work in the real world: our graduates.
That’s why we want to introduce you to some truly
inspiring people -- men and women from different backgrounds, with
different talents and different dreams. Each one had to make a choice,
and each one chose Colorado College. Why?
We’ll let them explain their decisions and tell their stories of how a
CC education has helped them reach -- and surpass -- their definitions
of success.
Look at CC by the numbers.
