The Colorado College Student Life Department has taken the leadership on creating sustainable training regarding issues of diversity, identity, equality, privilege, social justice and inclusion by implementing a new initative called the Social Justice Institute.  "The Institute" is an organically produced, year-long series of Training Sessions and Small Group Intensives designed to invoke the following learning outcomes where participants will:

- Obtain deeper understandings of their own identities and how those identities are constructed in social and institutional realms

- Analyze and interpret the role that privilege plays in their lives, as well as in the lives of other individuals and communities

- Gain greater skill and competence in discussing perceptions, privilege and identities with others

- Develop the tools necessary for becoming allies for social justice and inclusion on campus

- Formulate a plan for engaging others on issues of identity and privilege within their department
