Office Recycling Program 2003/2004

The Campus Recycling Program is undergoing rejuvenation. Last year President Celeste appointed a committee to develop sustainability initiatives. Surveys with students, staff, and faculty identified recycling as a high priority. Phase I in the academic buildings begins August 18 th in Armstrong Hall and the new Tutt Science Building . The program will be extended to other buildings during the fall.

Recycling is easy and helps save the environment.

1. Offices will have two containers:

--"Tear-It" - any paper product that tears whether white or colored, and

--Trash

2. "Commingled Products" - glass, plastic bottles, and cans place in hallway containers on each floor. The custodians will take the outside trash areas

Dumpsters for recycling cardboard are located behind Barnes and Armstrong Halls. Custodians will take cardboard out to the dumpsters. (Note: please break cardboard boxes down to allow for more room in the receptacle.)

Please refer any questions to Gary Reynolds - Director of Facility Services, and/or David Lord, Director of Auxiliary and Business Services.
