Lasater Ranch 7/8/05

The Lasater Ranch is managed by fourth generation rancher, Dale Lasater, near Matheson Colorado. Approximately half of the Lasater operation is devoted to breeding cattle to be sold as seed stock and half is devoted to beef production. Lasater Grasslands Beef sells primarily to consumers over the internet and distinguishes itself by selling grass finished, not grain finished, cattle. Lasater has found that rotational grazing allows the range to be biologically diverse and provides nutritionally superior forage for his cattle.
