Center for Service & Learning

My name is Marshall Wallach. I hail from Denver, Colorado and am currently a sophomore at Colorado College. I am a psychology major and a world history minor. I spent my high school years in Pottstown, Pennsylvania attending The Hill School. I am excited to be back in my home state for college! I am a member of the Sigma Chi fraternity, participate in Livesounds and work for the Athletic Marketing department here at Colorado College. I enjoy playing guitar, skiing, seeing live music, hiking and everything else that Colorado has to offer! During the summers, I work as a teacher and mentor for at-risk youth and hope to pursue a career in education in the future. I am participating in this program because I feel it presents a great opportunity for students to both teach AND learn in a service-based setting. I am excited to further develop my teaching skills and also gain a better perspective of what life is like in third-world countries. The energy crisis our world faces today is becoming more relevant than ever, and I feel that a sustainability-themed project such as this promotes a direction that society should be moving in.
