My name is Lilliana Flores and I am from Denver, Colorado. I am an Anthropology major with a minor in Spanish. I am involved in SOMOS (Spanish for “we are”), the latino organization on campus, BSU, the Black Student Union, and I will be one of the co-presidents of the Glass House next year, a themed multi-cultural house at Colorado College. I am interested in this program because service is very important in my life. With this trip to India not only will the individuals and communities learn something from us while we help them at the same time, I will take some important lessons from the people I meet. Helping the community improve their living conditions will enrich the lives of future generations to come.
